Following the success of the record collection \u201cLes Musiciens et la Grande Guerre\u201d (Musicans and the Great War, with 36 albums released between 2014 and 2019), the French recording label Hortus intends to participate in the work of the musical memory of the Second World War through this new collection in collaboration with the Voix \u00c9touff\u00e9es Forum and the Missing Voices project. Between 2024 and 2026, 8 first volumes are planned, aiming for the first time to discover or rediscover the composers who were victims of the totalitarianisms of the 20th century, and first and foremost of Nazism and the Holocaust, from both a French and a European perspective.<\/p>

This collection reveals the political and stylistic upheavals of the 1920-1950 decades, as well as France's role at European level as a land of exile, diffusion and collaboration during those years. It offers a unique opportunity to discover or rediscover a rich and diverse heritage, charged with a rare emotional value.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Arnold Schoenberg is the leading artist in the radical changes in the music of the first half of the 20th century. A celebrated theorist, painter and author of works and arrangements, he is an exceptional figure. A Jew who had drifted away from religion, Schoenberg was one of the most famous victims of Nazi Germany's antisemitic policies.<\/p>
